Atlanta, GA - The Boston College women's basketball team will head for the warmer weather, maybe. The Eagles (15-4, 2-2) will play Georgia Tech this afternoon at the Alexander Memorial Coliseum at 1 p.m. Fans can watch the game live on NESN.
BC is coming off a key win over NC State, 77-67, on Thursday night at Conte Forum. Senior Carolyn Swords reached another milestone as she grabbed 19 rebounds to push her all-time career rebounding mark to 1,018 boards. She also had 15 points, five assists and two blocks. Stefanie Murphy added 14 points and six boards, while Kerri Shields chipped in with 13 points and Kristen Doherty notched 12 points and five boards.
BC VS. GEORGIA TECH
Boston College leads the all-time series, 4-3. The Eagles have won the last three games. Last season, Stefanie Murphy led BC to victory with 25 points as the Eagles cruised to a 77-51 victory at Conte Forum.

Boston College assistant coach Stephanie Lawrence Yelton returns home to Georgia for the first time in two years. Lawrence Yelton is a native of Morrow, Georgia.

• In 2009-10 the Eagles scored 80 or more points seven times. This season BC has scored 80 or more points 14 times.
• BC opened the season at 11-0, the best start in program history. The 2004-05 team holds the record for winning 12 consecutive games at mid-season.
• Seniors Stefanie Murphy and Carolyn Swords have combined for 18 double-doubles this season. Murphy has a career-high 10 this season, while Swords notched her eighth (15 pts., 19 rebs.) in the win over NC State.
• Freshman Kristen Doherty is sixth in the ACC in steals. She has 47 thefts this season. The most by any BC player since Aja Parham had 67 in the 2005-06 season.
• Boston College leads the ACC in field goal percentage (47%) and free throw percentage (73.3%).
