Boston College volleyball players Tsvetelina Dureva and Krystle Higgins were named to the all-tournament team for their performances at the Brown Tournament. This is the third time Dureva has graced the all-tournament team list, while Higgins garnished the first such honor of her career this weekend.
On Friday afternoon, Dureva led all players with a season-high attack percentage (.368) on a three-set-best 20 kills. The outing extended the junior's streak of double-doubles to a career-high four matches, before coming to a close the next day. The outside hitter averaged 5.00 kills per set, totaling 45 on .284 hitting percentage, tallied 20 digs, four aces and three blocks in the tournament.
Higgins played exceptionally well on both sides of the net as well. The middle hitter gave a season-best performance with 10 kills on an astonishing .600 hitting percentage against Holy Cross on Saturday. The junior posted a tournament-leading average of 1.56 blocks per set, to go with 23 kills, seven digs and two aces throughout the Brown Invitational.
The Eagles (8-5) begin the ACC season on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Maryland. Live stats will be available via GameTracker.
