Sixteen league games, three games in the 2010 Old Spice Classic, a home game against Indiana in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge and a New Year's Day game at South Carolina highlight the 2010-11 Boston College men's basketball schedule. The schedule was released today by the school and the ACC office.
The Eagles will also face seven New England foes. BC will host Yale (Nov. 18), Holy Cross (Nov. 22), Providence (Dec. 8), Bryant (Dec. 19) and Harvard (Jan. 5), while playing Massachusetts in the TD Garden (Dec. 4) and at Rhode Island (Dec. 29).
The 2010-11 schedule features at least 10 nationally-televised contests. Additional dates could be added to this list.
The Eagles open the season with three straight home games - against St. Francis (NY) on Nov. 12), Yale and Holy Cross. The game against the Crusaders will be one of dozens of games played this season as part of the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight**.
BC then travels to Orlando, Florida for three games in the 2010 Old Spice Classic. The Eagles will open the tournament against Texas A&M on ESPN2 at noon on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 25). BC will play either Wisconsin or Manhattan in the second round.
Boston College will host the Hoosiers in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge on Dec. 1, before venturing seven miles to the east to meet Massachusetts in the TD Garden. After former Big East foe Providence visits Conte Forum, the Eagles head to College Park, Md., for the ACC opener against Maryland on Dec. 12. This will mark the fourth time in six years that BC has opened its ACC slate with the Terrapins.
After three games against New England foes close the 2010 calendar year, Boston College will play the return game of a home-and-home series against South Carolina. The Gamecocks will host the Eagles in an ESPNU-televised game on Jan. 1.
BC returns home to host Harvard before playing its final 15 games - in 58 days - against league rivals. The Eagles host Georgia Tech in its ACC home opener on Jan. 8. Including its game against the Yellow Jackets, Boston College plays six league games in January (three at home, including NC State and Virginia).
The Eagles host four league games in February - against North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Miami. BC concludes its regular-season slate with a game at Virginia Tech (March 1) and the home finale against Wake Forest (March 6).
The ACC Tournament will be played March 10-13 in Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum.

**The Jesuit Basketball Spotlight project is a nationwide effort to identify basketball games between Jesuit schools and, through those games, bring greater positive awareness to Jesuit education and mission. This project was developed by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) in response to member institutions wanting to spread the word of Jesuit higher education through the more than 90 basketball games in which Jesuit institutions play each other.
