Caroline King Named ACC Performer of the Week

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College's Caroline King was named a Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week as reported by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday. This is the first such honor for King, who captured the individual title at the BC Invitational Meet this past Saturday.
The senior from Scotia, N.Y., earned the second win of her career by finishing the 5k race in a time of 17:14, a personal record. King led the Eagles to a first place finish with 31 points in the season opener against a 10-team field.
Virginia's Ryan Collins was named the ACC Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week after finishing in third place with a time of 25:13 at the Lou Onesty Invitational in Charlottesville, Va. this weekend. Fellow Cavalier, Stephanie Garcia took the women's individual honor in a time of 17:55. King and Garcia share this week's ACC Women's Cross Country honors.
