The Boston College sailing team picked up some personal hardware after the National Championship in Madison. The team won the Coed National Title and picked up second place in the women's and team competition in Wisconsin.
The Eagles were also honored with the Fowle Trophy, for the top team in the country. It was the second time in three years in which BC won the Fowle Trophy, as the Eagles earned the award in 2008.
Individually, the student-athletes picked up more awards after the competition ended. Juniors Tyler Sinks and Taylor Canfield were named Coed All-Americans. Sinks was also a finalist for Coed Sailor of the Year.
Sophomore Annie Haeger, who was a finalist for Sailor of the Year, was named a Coed All-American honorable mention. Earlier in the week, Haeger and junior Emily Maxwell were named to the ICSA All-American Skipper Team.
Sophomore Emily Massa and senior Sandy Williams were also honored as the two were named to the All-America crew team.
