Hockey East Announces 2009-10 All-Academic Teams

Thirteen Boston College hockey student-athletes - eight females and five males - have earned 2009-10 Hockey East All-Academic Team honors, according to a league announcement.
To be eligible, each student-athlete achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during the 2009-10 season.
Graduates Shannon Webster and Ben Smith highlighted the recipients, achieving "Distinguished Scholar" honors after concluding their collegiate careers as four-time All-Academic team honorees, while fellow graduates Tracy Johnson and Matt Price earned the honor for the third time in their four years.
Corinne Boyles, Laura Hart, Johnson, Kiera Kingston, Elizabeth Olchowski, Kristin Regan, Megan Shea and Webster earned academic honors on the women's side. Kingston, Regan and Shea are each two-time recipients.
Tommy Atkinson, Tommy Cross, Brooks Dyroff, Price and Smith each earned academic honors on the men's side.
