Coed, Women's Sailing Teams No. 1 In The Country

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College sailing team earned the number one ranking in this week's Sailing World polls. The Eagles earned the No. 1 spot in the Coed Poll with 360 points, while Yale is second with 329 points followed by St. Mary's with 315. Georgetown (309) and Charleston (281) round out the top five in the poll released on May 13.
In the women's poll, Boston College finishes the regular season ranked first with 255 points, while Brown is second with 242. Charleston placed third with 225 points followed by St. Mary's (220) and Harvard (191).
Sailing Word's college rankings are determined by an open coach's poll. Eighteen coaches submitted votes for this week's poll. This week's rankings are the sixth and final rankings for the spring 2010 season.
