Women's Track Comes in Fifth Place At ECAC Championships

The Boston College women's track team had a solid weekend finishing in fifth place at the ECAC Outdoor Track Championships on the campus of Princeton, N.J.
Connecticut won the event with 105 points. Columbia came in second place 54 points. Brown recorded 41 points which was good enough for third place. Pittsburgh finished fourth with 39 points and Boston College rounded out the top-five finishing with 38 points.
Sophomore Kelsey Huckins continued her amazing outdoor season by taking home another first place finish in the discus throw with a toss of 48.21m.
Senior Caitlin Bailey captured the Eagles other first place finish for the event as she won the 800m run with a time of 2:05.66. That is the fastest 800m time for a BC athlete in the 2010 outdoor season.
Junior Caroline King took second place in the 800m run finishing a few seconds behind her teammate at 2:08.72.
Senior Mallory Champa had a great effort of her own in the 3000m run as she finished in sixth place crossing the line at 9:37.31.
Boston College will now get ready for the NCAA Northeast Regional's which will begin on Friday, May 28.
