Sailing Earns Two Top Spots

St. Mary's Team Race
On March 13 and 14th, the Boston College team posted first place at the St. Mary's Team Race at St. Mary's College in Maryland. The Eagles went 8-1 in the competition with victories over Connecticut College, Navy, ODU, Roger Williams, St. Mary's, Vermont and Yale. St. Mary's finished in second place, while Georgetown was third.

Navy Spring Women's Intersectional
At the Navy Spring Women's Intersectional Race on March 13-14, Boston College finished third of 17 schools competing at the US Naval Academy in Maryland. The Charleston Cougar place first with 153 points, while St. Mary's was second with 178. Boston College had 206 points for third and Connecticut College was fourth at 209 points.

Wood Trophy
At the Wood Trophy on the same weekend, Boston College placed first out of 14 teams in Newport, Rhode Island. The racing was cancelled on Saturday due to 30 mph breeze gusting into the mid-40's. On Sunday, Boston College placed first ahead of Brown, MIT, Salve Regina and Rhode Island. Those athletes helping the Eagles to the Wood Trophy were Evan Cooke, Alex Cooke, Ryan Mullins, Jonathan Lutz and Molly Clark.
