Thunstrom Earns Women's Hockey East Second-Team Honors

Senior Allie Thunstrom has earned a spot as a Women's Hockey East Second-Team all-star for the 2009-10 season, according to an announcement made by the league on Friday.
The senior forward from Maplewood, Minn. led the Eagles in scoring for the season, registering 29 points on 22 goals and 7 assists. Her three power-play goals and three game-winning goals tied for the team led in their respective categories. She led BC in shots with 159 and was the top scorer in all of Hockey East with 22 goals on the season.
Thunstrom also set personal records this season by notching 138 points during her time at BC; good enough to move into fourth place on BC's all-time scoring list. She was selected to represent the league all-star team in an exhibition game played against the United States' women's national team in a contest prior to their silver medal effort at the 2010 Olympics.
