Women's Tennis Falls To No. 25 Virginia, 7-0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's tennis team lost a hard-fought ACC match to No. 25 Virginia 70, on Friday afternoon at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
The loss drops Boston College to 3-5 (1-1 ACC) on the season, while the win improves No. 25 Virginia 6-2 (1-0 ACC) for the year.
Freshman Alex Kelleher was involved in two of the most entertaining matches of the afternoon as she and Olga Khmylev gave the Cavaliers number one doubles team all they could handle in a 8-5 loss.
In singles play, Kelleher didn't make things easy for Lindsey Hardenbergh who is the 38th best singles player in the country. Kelleher made her work hard all match but she couldn't pull off the upset as she lost 6-2, 6-4.
Boston College will return to the court tomorrow as it will travel to the University of Massachusetts. The match starts at 1 p.m.
