Men's Tennis Defeats Dartmouth, 4-3

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men's tennis team picked up its biggest win of the year on Wednesday night by defeating Dartmouth, 4-3.
The win improves the Eagles to 4-5 for the season, while the loss drops Dartmouth to 6-3 on the year.
Boston College lost the doubles point despite an 8-3 victory from the No. 21 doubles team of Thomas Nolan and Erik Kreutzer at the number one doubles spot.
The Eagles rebounded by taking four of the six matches in singles play.
Nolan picked up his second win of the night by taking down Dan Freeman at the number on singles position 7-6, 6-1.
No. 76 Akash Muppidi made the score 2-1, as he continues his solid play, with a win at the number two singles spot over Michael Laser 6-2, 6-3.
Kreutzer followed his doubles partner's lead and picked up a singles win of his own by defeating Stephan Greif at the number three position 7-6, 6-2.
Jonathan Schroeder, who just recently returned from an injury, clinched the match for the Eagles in a grueling three-set win at the number four singles spot over Curtis Roby 6-2, 1-6, 7-6.
In the latest ITA Singles Rankings sophomore Muppidi became the first Boston College singles player in the history of the program to be nationally ranked as he is now 76th in the nation.
Boston College is back in action on Friday, February 26 as they will take on cross-town rival Harvard. The match starts at 4 p.m.
