Men's Tennis Falls to No. 1 Virginia, 7-0

The Boston College men's tennis team lost a tough ACC matchup to Virginia 7-0, on Saturday night at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar's Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va.
The loss drops the Eagles to 3-5 (0-4 ACC) for the season, while the win improves No. 1 Virginia to 11-1 (1-0 ACC) on the year.
Sophomore Akash Muppidi had his ten match winning streak come to an end in doubles action as he and Adam Davison lost their match at the number three doubles spot 8-4.
Senior Thomas Nolan gave Sanam Singh, the sixth best player in the nation, all he could handle at the number one singles position losing in a hard-fought match 6-4, 6-2.
Boston College will return home to take on Dartmouth on Tuesday, February 23 at the Weymouth Country Club. The match will start at 3 p.m.
