Men's Track Competes In Valentine Invitational

Boston, Mass. - The Boston College men's track team competed in the Valentine Invitational on Friday and Saturday on the campus of Boston University at the Indoor Track and Tennis Center. The Eagles had three top-ten finishes on the day.
Senior Timothy Ritchie provided the only individual runner top-ten finish of the meet for Boston College as he came in sixth place in the 3000m run with a time of 8:08.75. Ritchie's time of 8:08.75 is the third fastest indoor 3000m run time in the ACC this season, and it is also the seventh fastest indoor 3000m run time in Boston College history.
Junior Tyler Archer finished in 18th place in the 500m dash with a time of 1:05.92.
Archer's classmate Philip Woerner also had a solid day by finishing in 24th place in the one mile run with a time of 4:11.52.
Junior Jon Bogosian took home the second top-ten finish for BC by finishing in seventh place in the high jump with a leap of 1.92m.
Matthew Kosmas picked up the last Eagles top-ten finish as he finished eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 17.09m.
The Eagles will have some time off to help gear up for the ACC Indoor Championships which will be held on the campus of Virginia Tech on February 25 and 26.
