HIGGINS RECEIVES NORTHEAST REGION HONORABLE MENTION

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Sophomore middle hitter Krystle Higgins was awarded with an honorable mention to the All-Northeast Region Team by COBRA Magazine on Thursday, Dec. 2. This is the first such honor for Higgins and Boston College.
The Inglewood, Calif. native turned in career-bests this season in blocks (90), aces (19), digs (41) and blocks (90). Higgins also led Boston College in block solos (11) for the second consecutive year.
As a starter, Higgins average 1.27 kill per game and 0.90 blocks per set. She tallied 13 games with a hitting percentage of .200 or better, including a season-high .524 with 13 kills against 19th ranked Florida State on Oct. 15. Higgins recorded three-or-more blocks in 18 games, boasting a streak of nine consecutive in the month of September.
The Boston College Volleyball team concluded its season with a win, 3-1, over Maryland on Nov. 24.
