Volleyball Travels to Virginia Tech, Virginia This Weekend

The Boston College volleyball team will make a trip to another Commonwealth this weekend to take on conference rivals Virginia Tech and Virginia. The Eagles (8-18, 0-13 ACC) head to Blacksburg, Va. to take on the Hokies on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m., before playing the Cavaliers on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.
Virginia Tech (15-8, 6-7 ACC) and Virginia (12-11, 6-7 ACC) are tied for eighth in the ACC.
Boston College is lead by senior captain Kristen Baader, who is fourth in the ACC in digs per set (4.42) and junior Tsvetelina Dureva, is fifth in the conference in kills per game (3.28).
Against Virginia Tech, the Eagles will be defending two of the nation's most efficient hitters. Felicia Willoughby ranks at No. 17 in the country (.391), while Cara Baarendse (.390) sits at No. 19.
In addition to the conference's second ranked point scorer Simone Asque (4.80 ppg), the Virginia lineup features the current ACC Freshman of the Week McKenzie Adams and Jessica O'Shoney, fourth in conference hitting percentage.
Last time out, BC lost to VT, 3-0, and UVA, 3-1, brining Boston College to 6-4 all-time against the Hokies and 1-9 against the Cavs.
