Annie Haeger, Emily Massa Helps Women's Sailing Place First

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College women's sailing team captured the women's fall NEISA Conference Championship for the Urn Trophy at Connecticut College. The women's team is currently ranked second in the country.
Juniors Annie Haeger and Emily Massa dominated A Division, winning five of twelve races. Junior Briana Provancha, senior Katy Nastro and senior Elizabeth Dudley sailed consistently in B Division, adding six top three placements to the Eagles impressive score line.
Runners-up Connecticut College finished 34 points behind the Eagles. The victory qualifies the women's team for their Atlantic Coast Championships at Eckerd College in two weeks.
In additional sailing team news, junior Annie Haeger will head to St. Petersburg, Florida to sail in the ICSA Women's Singlehanded National Championship. Haeger is the two-time defending national champion.
