
Volleyball Fights Back To Defeat Seton Hall, 3-2

BUFFALO, New York. - The Boston College volleyball team battled back from being down 2-1 to defeat Seton Hall, 3-2 at Alumni Arena in Buffalo, New York.
The victory evened BC's record at 1-1 for the season while Seton Hall falls to 0-2.
The Eagles got off to a rough start in the first set, only amassing nine kills and a .200 hitting percentage before dropping the opening frame 25-19 to the Pirates.
Not ready to give in, Head Coach Andrea Leonard rallied her players to overcome their first set misfortunes and come out strong in the second. 15 kills powered the team to a 25-21 second set win to even the match at one set apiece.
The back and forth contest continued in the third as Boston College could only manage a .065 hitting percentage before Seton Hall pulled ahead to take the third frame, 25-21.
With their backs against the walls, the Eagles found the edge they were looking for and launched 14 kills and a hitting percentage of .243, their highest of the day, at the Pirates and evened out the match by taking the set, 25-22.
The final set showed the Eagles' true hearts, as five kills and only four errors propelled them past Seton Hall with a 15-10 fifth set win, giving Boston College its first victory of the young season.
BC was led on offense by sophomores Mollie Kolosky and Jordan Meredith, who blasted 14 and 11 kills, respectively. Freshman Krissy Mussenden also helped the cause with 38 assists and three service aces.
Sophomore Brennan Clark backstopped the defense with 25 digs and Mussenden and Meredith added 10 of their own.
The Eagles will take the court again this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. when they match up against Fordham in Buffalo, NY.
