Kelli Stack Named TPS Hockey East Player of the Year

Durham, N.H. - Boston College women's ice hockey junior Kelli Stack was honored as the Cammi Granato TPS Hockey East Player of the Year as announced by the Hockey East Association Friday night.
Stack, a forward from Brooklyn Heights, OH earned Hockey East's top honor for the second time in her career, she previously received the honor as a freshman. Stack was also honored with first team All-Star honors, the "Three Stars" award and Hockey East Scoring champion honors for her 36 points (15g,21a) in 21 league games this season.
Teammate and senior captain Colleen Harris was honored with the Sportsmanship award, given annually to the league player who has consistently played at a high level, while maintaining a high standard of conduct on and off the ice. In 21 league games, Harris did not commit a single penalty.
Four BC players were named to the All-Star teams, with Stack, senior Maggie Taverna and junior Molly Schaus all named to the first team. Junior Allie Thunstrom earned second team honors.
Freshman Mary Restuccia was named to the Mission All-Rookie team.
The Eagles will face off against the Terriers of Boston University in game two of the Hockey East Semifinal on Saturday, March 7 at 3 p.m.
