Mary Restuccia Named Hockey East Player of the Week

Chestnut Hill, Mass - Boston College women's ice hockey player Mary Restuccia has been named the Hockey East Player of the Week for the final week of the season according to an announcement made by the Hockey East Association earlier today.

The freshman forward from Chester Springs, Penn. netted two goals in BC's 4-3 loss to Minnesota in the NCAA Quarterfinals.

Restuccia was the Eagles number one scorer in the freshman class in 2008-09 with 29 points (14g, 15a) in 36 games played this season.

She was named the Rookie of the week on Jan. 19, earned Rookie of the Month honors for January and was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team at the Hockey East Awards Banquet in March.
