Two Boston College players -- senior Tyrese Rice and sophomore Joe Trapani -- were selected to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-District I Team, according to an announcement made on March 10.
For Rice, this honor marks the third straight year that he's been selected to the All-District Team. The senior guard earned second-team honors as a sophomore and first-team honors as a junior.
Joining the two Eagles on the District I Team were Jeff Adrien (Connecticut), Jimmy Baron (Rhode Island), Weyinmi Efejuku (Providence), Tony Gaffney and Ricky Harris (Massachusetts), A.J. Price and Hasheem Thabeet (Connecticut) and Mike Trimboli (Vermont).
Rice and Trapani are now preparing for tonight's contest against Duke (9:30 p.m. on Raycom/Ch. 38 and ESPN2) in the quarterfinal round of the ACC Tournament.
