Head coach Andrea Leonard and the Boston College volleyball team announced their first spring tournament this week.
The Eagles are slated to host New Hampshire, Northeastern, and Connecticut at Power Gym, with games to begin on March 28 at 10 a.m.
Boston College returns 11 veterans to its 2009 roster, including Jordan Meredith, who recently returned from a tryout with the U.S. National Team. Meredith was second on the team in kills (274) and finished second in the ACC among freshmen with an average of 3.11 kills/set.
Captains Taylor Williams and Dani Moskitis also return for the Eagles.
Williams, a junior outside hitter, led the team with 276 kills last season, including a 13 kill performance in BC's 3-1 win over Maryland on Nov. 26, 2008.
Moskitis, a sophomore setter, registered a season high 51 assists in the team's 3-1 win over Colgate on Aug. 30, 2008.
The team is planning on scheduling three more spring tournaments in preparation for the 2009 volleyball season.
