Molly Schaus Named Hockey East Player of the Week

Chestnut Hill, MA - Boston College women's ice hockey goaltender Molly Schaus has been named the Hockey East TPS Player of the Week according to an announcement made by the league earlier today.
Schaus, a junior netminder from Natick, Mass. stopped 56 shots in two games last week including a 40-save shutout of Harvard University to help the Eagles to their third Beanpot title in four years. Schaus recieved the Bertagna Award for her goaltending efforts in the tournament.
A 2009 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award nominee, Schaus currently holds the top spot in overall goals against average (1.63) and save percentage (.939) in Hockey East and the second best save percentage in NCAA Division I hockey.
Schaus and the Eagles will close out the regular season this weekend with a home-and-home with Providence College, starting with a trip down to Rhode Island on Friday February 20 at 4 p.m.
