Women's Basketball To Play San Diego Tonight

San Diego, CA - The Boston College women's basketball team will play host San Diego (7-6) tonight in the Maggie Dixon Surf N Slam Classic championship at 11 p.m. (ET) at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
The Eagles advanced to the final after a victory against California, 81-69, on Dec. 28. BC was led by junior center Carolyn Swords with 17 points and 15 rebounds, while senior Mickel Picco added 14 points. Senior Ayla Brown notched 10 points and seven rebounds, while freshman Kerri Shields contributed 10 points.
BC shot 45 percent from the floor in the game and went 9-for-11 from the free throw line. Swords and Stefanie Murphy (nine points, 11 rebounds) combined for 26 rebounds, as BC outrebounded the Bears, 54-47.
