Men's Tennis Competes At ITA Nationals

Flushing Meadows, N.Y. - The Boston College men's tennis team opened up their 2009-10 season this past weekend at the three-day ITA Nationals.
The Eagles looked very sharp in doubles action as the number one seeded team of Thomas Nolan and Erik Kreutzer won the A-Flight doubles draw by the score of 9-7 in the finals.
Akash Muppidi and Jonathan Schroeder were chosen as the second seen in the B-Flight doubles. They went on to beat the number one seeded team in the finals 8-5.
The C-Flight doubles draw also saw a BC team have success as Alex Skinner and Brendon Wong made it to the semi-finals before falling.
Schroeder also saw success in C-Flight singles action as he advanced to the semi-finals before losing to the third-seed, and eventual champion, Arnav Jain.
The Eagles are back in action when they travel to Providence, RI to play in the Brown Invitational October 2-4.
