The Boston College volleyball team dropped its match to Duke on Friday night in Durham, N.C., 3-0.
BC fell to 11-12 on the season while Duke improved to 20-4.
The Eagles attacked the Blue Devils in the first set, putting forth 12 kills and a .158 hitting percentage in an attempt to grab an early lead on the road. Despite their best effort, Duke still managed to take the opening frame and move to a 1-0 lead in the match.
Boston College tried to right its play in the second and third set, blasting 12 kills over the course of the two frames, but the Blue Devils had the Eagles' number all night long and swept the three sets to win the match, 3-0.
The Eagles were led on offense by sophomore Rainey Hanley's seven kills while sophomore Brennan Clark's 13 digs backstopped the defense.
BC will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. on Saturday night where it will take on Wake Forest at 7:00 p.m.
