Volleyball Defeats North Carolina State, 3-0

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Boston College volleyball team took home its first ACC win of the season on Saturday night, defeating North Carolina State 3-0 in Raleigh, N.C.
The Eagles are now 11-5 on the year while the Wolfpack are 7-12.
Boston College was hungry for redemption after Friday night's tough loss to the Tar Heels, and were looking take out its energy on the Wolfpack. An opening set total of 15 kills and a .282 hitting percentage showed just how excited the Eagles were, as they won the opening frame 25-18.
The second set proved to be much of the same for BC. The Eagles put forth an extremely dominant frame, as they blasted 13 kills and steadily improved their hitting percentage to .320. When the dust had settled, the Eagles had taken the second set 25-11, and could feel a much deserved win closing in.
13 kills later and with its highest hitting percentage of the match, .423, BC had snatched an ACC win and had ended its losing streak.
The Eagles were led on offense by senior Taylor Williams and sophomore Mollie Kolosky who contributed 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Sophomore Rainey Hanley led the defense with 14 digs.
The Eagles will return to the road next weekend when they take on Clemson on Friday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m.
