Volleyball's 'Dig Pink' Weekend A Success

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team held its annual `Dig Pink' event this weekend to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness.
For every dig or block that the team recorded in matches against Virginia Tech and Virginia, supporters could make a cumulative donation that would be totaled for the combined statistics.
Wearing their pink uniforms for the weekend, the Eagles managed to tally 23 blocks and 102 digs against Virginia Tech and 19 blocks and 187 digs against Virginia. All together, the team earned a combined total of 331 digs and blocks for the cause.
Checks can still be made payable to The Side-Out Foundation and will be accepted through November 20, 2009. Donations can be sent to the following address:
