Lacrosse Class of 2012 Earns Top Ranking

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College Women's Lacrosse Class of 2012 has earned the #10 ranking on Inside Lacrosse Magazine's list of best recruiting classes for 2008. Two members of the class were named Top-25 recruits by the magazine.

Freshman defenseman Liz Donovan and midfielder Samantha Taylor were ranked in the top-25 of freshman recruits in the country. Additionally, classmate Ginny Gummersall was included as part of the "watch list" of top recruits.

Katherine Caufield, Kate Collins, Catherine Conway, Nicole Tufariello and Brittany Wilton round out the strong freshmen class for BC. These eight freshmen will look to have a big impact for the Eagles in 2009 and the future.

"I am thrilled to have these eight young women join our program this year. Their talent and experience, combined with their character, will help our program for several years to come," said Head Coach Bowen Holden.
