Volleyball Set To Open ACC Play at Maryland

The Boston College volleyball team opens up Atlantic Coast Conference play when it takes on Maryland tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Comcast Pavilion.
The match will be broadcast live and available on-demand on ACC Select/CBS Sports.com.
The Eagles come into the match with a 6-6 overall record, including wins in three of the last four matches. In recent action, BC split the two-game Mass Challenge, dropping the opener to Northeastern and defeating Holy Cross in the second game on Saturday.
Maryland comes into the match with a 4-8 overall record. The Terrapins have recorded wins in their last two matches, defeating Lehigh and North Dakota in the Towson Invitational.
Freshman Jordan Meredith, named to the Mass Challenge All-Tournament Team, leads the Eagles with 165 kills. Meredith recently recorded a single-game high in kills, registering 25 kills against Harvard on Sept. 17. Freshman Brennan Clark has a team-high 181 digs.
The Terrapins are lead by Katie Usher, who has 113 kills to go along with 13 service aces.
The match will mark the ACC debut of first-year Maryland head coach Tim Horsman, who previously coached at the University of Dayton.
