Men's Golf Competes at The McLaughlin

The men's golf team finished in 16th place this weekend at The McLaughlin, with a three round team score of 892. The tournament was hosted by St. John's University at the Bethpage Red Course in Farmingdale, NY.
The Eagles competed against 18 other schools in the competition and were led by freshman Kevin Melnick who finished tied for 43rd with a score of 221. Craig Kublin finished tied for 53rd, carding a 223, and Kyle McCartan finished tied for 62nd with a 224, rounding out the top three finishers for BC.
Southeastern Louisiana University won the overall competition with a team score of 854. Dave Tobon of Johnson and Wales University, Pat Fillian of Sacred Heart, and Sean Curtin of Iona all tied for the individual title, shooting a one under par 209.
The men's golf team will continue fall competition at the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic, a three day tournament from Friday, Oct. 3 to Sunday, Oct. 5.
