Driscoll Turns In Top 10 Performance In Season Opener

DURHAM, N.H. - Boston College junior Jessica Driscoll finished in seventh place with a time of 17:55 to lead the Eagles to a second place finish in the cross country team's season opener in New Hampshire.
Providence took the team crown with 18 points while the Eagles had 59. New Hampshire finished in third with 61 points and Georgia College came in fourth with 150.
Four BC runners finished within seven seconds of each other and placed from ninth to 12th led by junior Lauren Johnston who came in at 17:59. Senior Mary Heitkamp (18:02), junior Kelly Gross (18:03), and senior Nikki Tufts (18:06) came in 10th, 11th, and 12th, respectively.
Senior Medena Knespl crossed the line in 18:16 to finish in 16th place.
BC will now prepare for the Iona Meet of Champions which will be held on September 20 in New York City.
