Boston College was predicted to finish third in the league according to the 2008 ACC Preseason Men's Soccer Coaches' Poll that was released on Wednesday.

The Eagles received two first-place votes and 60 points to finish third. BC, the defending ACC regular-season and tournament title winners, returns nine starters from last year's 15-5-1 team. It finished 7-1-0 in conference play. BC defeated Wake Forest twice last fall.

The Eagles 2008 season begins on Friday, Aug. 29 against Boston University at the Newton Campus Soccer Complex at 5 p.m.
