Men's Soccer Ranked No. 4 In NSCAA Preseason Poll

Boston College men's soccer, the defending Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season and tournament champion, has been ranked fourth according to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Preseason Poll released on Tuesday.
2007 NCAA champion Wake Forest captured the top preseason billing, followed by Connecticut and Notre Dame. Santa Clara checks in at No. 5, while Maryland (eighth) and Virginia Tech (10th) complete a quartet of ACC schools ranked within the nation's top 10.
BC head coach Ed Kelly returns 15 letterwinners and nine starters, including 2007 NSCAA first-team All-American Alejandro Bedoya, to his 2008 squad.
The Eagles reported for preseason today and will host Southern Connecticut State (Aug. 18) and Northeastern (Aug. 22) in exhibition play.
BC officially begins its 2008 season on Friday, Aug. 29 against Boston University at the Newton Campus Soccer Complex. The first match of the season is set for 5 p.m.
