Volleyball Announces 2008 Schedule

Four non-league tournament appearances and nine Atlantic Coast Conference home matches, including an Oct. 17 date with defending ACC champion Clemson, highlight the Eagles' 2008 volleyball schedule.
BC opens its season on Friday, August 29 against West Virginia in the Colgate Classic in Hamilton, N.Y. In the Classic, the Eagles will also face Kent State and Colgate.
The following weekend BC will travel to Kingston, R.I., for the Rhode Island Tournament where it will play South Carolina, Stony Brook and Rhode Island.
The Eagles will also participate in the Yale Invitational (Sept. 12-13) as well as the Northeastern Invitational (Sept. 19-20).
BC will begin its ACC schedule at Maryland on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
In addition to Maryland, the Eagles' 20-game league schedule features home-and-home games against Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
BC will open home conference play against Virginia on Friday, Oct. 3. The Eagles will conclude the ACC home slate against Maryland on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Boston College finished the 2007 season with a 14-18 overall record, including an 8-14 mark in conference play. Head coach Andrea Leonard returns six letterwinners from last year's club.
