Hockey To Visit White House On Tuesday, June 24

The 2008 NCAA national championship Boston College hockey team will be honored at a White House ceremony on Tuesday, June 24.
The White House reception will be one of many activities the Eagles take part in that day.
The day will begin with a flight to Washington and the team will tour Walter Reed Army Medical Center at 10:15 a.m.
Following lunch, the team will tour and then be honored at the White House. President George W. Bush is scheduled to make remarks to BC hockey team and other 2007 and 2008 NCAA Champions on the South Lawn at 4:05 p.m.
After a team dinner in Washington, the Eagles will travel to the United States Capitol at 5:30 p.m. There, they are expected to meet with members of the Massachusetts Delegation.
BC will return to Boston shortly thereafter.

Boston College won the national championship with a 4-1 victory over Notre Dame on April 12 in Denver, Colo.
