Kasey Hill Breaks BC Heptathlon Record

AUSTIN, Texas - Senior Kasey Hill continued to make her mark on BC's all-time performance list, as she set yet another record in the heptathlon at the 81st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays held April 2 through 5. She tallied a total score of 5,437 points, beating her own record that she set back in 2006 by 14 points.
Hill's performance placed her fourth overall at the Texas Relays. Fellow senior Tiana Riel also competed in the heptathlon, finishing in ninth place with a final tally of 5,065 points. Her score places her third on BC's top performance list.
In the first event, the 100-meter hurdles, Hill clocked a time of 14.28, third fastest in BC history. She also marked 1.63 meters in the high jump, 5.45 meters in the long jump, threw for 40' 11.75" in the shot put and 120' 8" in the javelin throw, clocked a 24.98 in the 200 and ran a 2:17.84 in the 800. Her shot put throw ranks her fourth on BC's all-time performance list as well.
Julie Pickler, sponsored by ASICS, won the individual title in the heptathlon with a score of 5,990 points. Abbie Stechschulte of Indiana placed second with 5,661 points and Ryan Dupree, unattached, placed third with 5,528 points.
