Kelsey Rockey Leads Women's Golf At 2008 ACC Championship

Daytona Beach, Fla. - The Boston College women's golf team, led by a strong performance by freshman Kelsey Rockey, placed ninth out of the nine conference schools at the 2008 ACC Championships Sunday.
Rockey tallied her best outing of the year, combining for a three-round score of 234. Her first round score of 76 tied the team's lowest round. Sophomore Natalie Draganza came in second for the team with a 242 score. Sophomore Meghan Martinek (245) and seniors Lara Smilnak (250) and Katie Napleton (255) rounded out the team's performances over the three-day event.
The No. 2 ranked Duke University women's golf team won its 13th consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference women's golf championship. The Blue Devils' Amanda Blumenhurst won the individual championship for the third consecutive season.
