Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College senior track athlete Kasey Hill was named the ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Player of the Week for the week of April 6, according to the conference office's announcement Wednesday. This marks Hill's first honor by the ECAC.
A native of Montgomery Center, Vt., Hill competed at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays this past weekend in the heptathlon, placing fourth with a score of 5,437 points. Her point value places her at sixth-best in the nation so far this season and atop of BC's all-time performance list. Her points are also a provisional qualifying mark for the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held in May.
Hill will continue to compete in the heptathlon as the BC track & field teams travel to Amherst, Mass., on Saturday to compete at the UMass Invitational. Events will begin at 11:30 a.m.
