No. 13 UNC Defeats No. 74 BC, 7-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The No. 74 Boston College women's tennis team (7-3, 0-2 ACC) dropped its second ACC match of the season to No. 13 North Carolina, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. UNC improves to 9-4 overall, 1-0 in ACC play.
In singles play, Lauren Cash battled against No. 100 Austin Smith at the No. 3 position, but was defeated, 4-6, 6-4 (10-8).
Lana Krasnopolsky was defeated at the No. 1 position by No. 10 Sanaz Marand, 6-2 and 7-5.
The Eagles dropped all three doubles matches to the Tar Heels. Krasnopolsky and Gia Nafarette had a strong performance in the No. 3 slot, but lost, 8-4.
BC's next match is on March 15 against Marshall at 10 a.m. in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
