DURHAM, N.C. - The No. 10 Duke Blue Devils swept the No. 74 Boston College women's tennis team, 7-0, in the Eagles first ACC match of the season. The loss drops BC to 7-2 overall, 0-1 in ACC play.
At the No. 1 singles position, Lana Krasnopolsky fell to Duke's Tara Iyer, 6-0 and 6-3.
Freshmen Katharine Attwell and Jacqueline Mabatah each played in their first career ACC match. Both first-year players were defeated at the No. 4 and No. 6 spots respectively.
In doubles play, Attwell and Alina Sullivan put up the best fight at the No. 2 spot, falling to Nze and Zawacki of Duke, 8-3.
