The Eagles team of senior Reed Johnson and junior Leigh Kempton, juniors Brian Kamilar/Andrew Schneider and juniors Adam Roberts/Carrie Amarante sailed to a perfect 7-0 record on Saturday, including a win over the eventual regatta winner, St. Mary's. Fourteen more races were sailed on Sunday, with the Eagles losing two before the final round- one to Georgetown and one to St. Mary's. Going into the final round, Boston College was one loss behind St. Mary's with a chance to win the regatta. The Eagles defeated Stanford and Georgetown easily in their first two races of the finals, forcing a winner-take-all race with St. Mary's. Unfortunately for the Eagles, St. Mary's controlled the race from the start, leading off the start line with Boston College taking a penalty turn. The Sea Hawks held on to win the race comfortably and take the regatta, with Boston College finishing in second.
Coed Sailing returns to competition next weekend with regattas at Navy, Harvard, and Salve Regina
