Thunstrom and Schaus Earn Hockey East Weekly Honors

Chestnut Hill, MA - Boston College women's ice hockey players Allie Thunstrom and Molly Schaus have been honored by Hockey East according to a press release from the association.
Thunstrom a junior forward from Maplewood, Minn. earned her second Player of the Week honors for her three goal performance against Boston University last Wednesday. Thunstrom netted all three goals, two of which were shorthanded in the third period of BC's 5-0 win over the Terriers. It was the first hat trick of her collegiate career.
Schaus, a junior goaltender from Natick, Mass. earned her third Defensive Player of the Week nod for stopping at 25 shots for her fifth shutout of the season in the Eagle's victory over BU.
The Eagles take to the ice again after the holidays with a pair of non-league games on the road against Colgate on January 2 and Yale on January 3.
