
Volleyball Falls In Three Sets To Miami

The Boston College volleyball team fell to Miami, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon at Power Gym, concluding the season series with the Hurricanes. Miami held BC to just 26 kills, while registering an attack percentage of .382.
With the loss, the Eagles dropped to 7-20 (1-14 ACC) while Miami improved to 22-6 (10-5 ACC).
The Eagles struggled to get going on the attack in the first set, as Miami held BC to a hitting percentage of (-.065). The Hurricanes pulled away midway through the set for a 25-13 win.
Miami continued their strong offensive play in the second set, with 16 kills and just three errors for a hitting percentage of .361. The Eagles remained in striking distance, trailing 9-6, when Miami went on a 13-3 run to take commanding lead in the set. The Hurricanes would win the set 25-12.
BC responded with its strongest set of the match, staying close with Miami in the third set. Trailing 22-15, the Eagles went on a 4-1 run which was highlighted kills from Melanie Cimino, Taylor Williams, and Tori Thompson. But Miami won two of the next three points to close out the match.
Leading the way for the Eagles on the attack was Taylor Williams, who had eight kills. Dani Moskitis contributed 14 assists, and Kristen Baader had seven digs to lead BC.
The Eagles will head on the road to take on Virginia Tech on Nov. 14 at 3 pm.
