Volleyball's First We Dig Pink Event a Success
November 04, 2008 | Volleyball
The Boston College volleyball team held its first ever "We Dig Pink" event last month, honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Eagles raised $2,693 to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation. The event took place on Oct. 30 and 31, in home games against NC State and North Carolina.
At each game, donors were able to choose whether to donate per dig and block earned by all four teams during the two matches, or to make a flat donation.
For those who donated per dig and block, the Eagles, Wolfpack, and Tar Heels combined for 236 digs and blocks over the two games.
