Rowing Ends Fall Season At Foot Of The Charles

The Boston College women's rowing team wrapped up its fall season on Saturday, November 15 at the Foot of the Charles in Boston, Mass.
The Eagles entered three boats in the Varsity Four and three boats in the Novice Eight.
Boston College's "B" Varsity Four captured the highest finish for the Eagles. It finished in 18th place out of 58 entries with a time of 15:12.6, narrowly edging out Radcliffe. BC's "A" Four followed shortly thereafter, coming in 20th with a time of 15:17. The Eagles' third Varsity Four placed 50th in a time of 16:06.6.
Coming off of an eighth-place finish in the Princeton Chase, BC's "A" Novice Eight continued its success with a seventh-place finish on Saturday in a time of 14:32.1. BC's "B" Novice Eight placed 16th with a time of 15:10.7. The "C" Novice Eight came in 33rd with a time of 17:31.8.
Head coach Steve Fiske was pleased with the day's outcome on the Charles.
"The team raced pretty well today and overall it's been a successful fall in terms of progress from last year," Fiske said. "I'm looking forward to working hard this winter to build on these results."
The Eagles return to racing in the spring at the Jesuit Invitational in Camden, N.J., on March 21.
