Field Hockey Loses to Wake Forest 4-1

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College Field Hockey team finished the regular season at home, with a loss to ACC opponent Wake Forest University 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Wake Forest attacked early netting the first goal of the game 9:22 into the first period.
The Demon Deacons netted their second goal of the game 21:15 into the second to push the score to 2-0.
BC responded just before the end of the period, when midfielder Kate Gillis dribbled the ball in from the circle and passed it across the Wake Forest net to forward Janna Anctil who tipped the ball in to cut Wake Forest's lead to one.
Wake Forest answered less than a minute later netting their third goal of the period to give them a 3-1 lead at the end of the first.
In the second period the Eagles managed to limit Wake Forest's attack but were unable to convert on their two penalty corner opportunities.
Wake Forest potted their fourth goal of the game at 42:24 to give them the 4-1 lead that they would hold until the end of the game.
The Eagles travel to Duke University this week for the ACC Tournament to begin on Thursday, November 6.
