BC and Clemson will be meeting for the fourth time in series history. The Tigers hold a 2-0-1 advantage in the all-time series, including a 1-0 win over BC last November. The loss marked BC's only conference defeat in 2007.
Nathan Thornton, who scored two goals in Clemson's 3-2 win over No. 7 North Carolina on Oct. 25, was named to Soccer America's National Team of the Week.
Offensively, the Tigers are led by Michael Brooks, who has scored five goals and one assist. Hassan Ibrahim ranks second on the team with four goals.
A Quick Glance At The ACC
Just less than two weeks away from ACC Tournament competition, the Eagles own a 7-6-2 record, including a 3-3-0 mark in conference contests. With two league games remaining (BC plays at Virginia Tech next Friday), BC can finish as high as third place and as low as ninth place in the ACC.
Currently, the team is in seventh with six points (two victories - three points per victory).
The Eagles are three points behind sixth-place North Carolina, four points behind fifth-place Clemson, five points behind fourth-place Duke and six points behind Virginia and Maryland, who are tied for second place.
All ACC teams have two conference contests remaining on their respective schedules with the exception of Duke and Clemson. The Tigers conclude their league slate tonight against BC, while the Blue Devils finish up against NC State next week.
BC owns head-to-head advantages over North Carolina and Virginia, having previously defeated each of them.
