
Field Hockey Falls to Syracuse 3-1

Syracuse, N.Y. - The #14 Boston College Field Hockey team lost to #3 Syracuse in a non-conference game at Syracuse University in New York 3-1.
The Orange tallied their first goal of the game 3:58 into the first. They followed up with what would end up being the game winner at 26:35 in the first to give Syracuse a 2-0 lead.
Midfielder Tara Fernandes would cut the lead in half just before halftime, netting her second goal of the season on a rebound from a penalty corner.
The two teams played through an almost scoreless second half, before Syracuse netted an insurance goal with five minutes left in the game to push the score to 3-1 and give Syracuse the win.
Julia Berkowitz made 9 saves in the loss.
The Eagles return to Chestnut Hill for their last home game of the season on Nov. 1 at 12 p.m. against ACC rival Wake Forest.
