Women's Basketball Chosen Seventh in ACC Preseason Poll

GREENSBORO, NC - The Boston College women's basketball team has been ranked seventh in the Atlantic Coast Conference preseason poll. The vote was determined by the newly formed Blue Ribbon Panel which consists of national and local media members as well as ACC school representatives.
Boston College head coach Sylvia Crawley returns 11 letterwinners from last year's team. The Eagles finished the season with a 21-12 record and were 7-7 in ACC play, earning a berth in the WNIT tournament.
North Carolina, the recipient of 15 of 42 first place votes, was picked to finish first in the conference for the first time in four years. The Tar Heels were followed by Maryland (11 votes) and Duke (14 votes).
